Overview

A Plan Is Only Worth What the Install Delivers

Interior design installation in Jacksonville is where good plans go to die — usually because the contractor treats the drawings as a suggestion. We have executed multiple designers’ plans from spec to finished space, and it is one of the most requested parts of our move-in ready renovation service: the client hires a designer, and we become the hands.

If you are a homeowner working with interior designers, that means one less relationship to manage. If you are the designer, it means a trade partner who reads the selection sheet, flags a conflict before it becomes a change order, and calls you rather than improvising.

Scope

What Interior Design Installation Covers

We take a plan set, a finish schedule and a selection binder and turn them into a finished room. Where a drawing is silent, we ask instead of assuming — which is the entire difference between design-build coordination and a contractor doing what is convenient.

  • Construction to the drawings: framing changes, drywall, trim and millwork
  • Specified finish installation — tile, flooring, wallcovering, paint colors as scheduled
  • Lighting plans installed by licensed electricians, including switching and dimming
  • Plumbing fixture install to spec by licensed, permitted plumbers
  • Furniture and fixture install, mirrors, art hanging and window treatment mounting
  • Receiving, inspecting and storing deliveries against the designer’s packing lists

What Designers Get From Us

The reason designers keep calling is unglamorous: we hold the schedule and we do not substitute. If a specified tile is discontinued, you hear about it the day we learn it, with two alternates and lead times, rather than finding a different tile installed on walkthrough day.

Our background is commercial and hospitality construction, where drawings are contractual and a punch list is a real document. That habit transfers well to residential work. We keep a marked-up set on site, photograph progress daily, and run a punch list you can actually sign off on.

For Homeowners

No Designer Yet? That Is Fine Too.

Plenty of clients come to us with a Pinterest board rather than a plan set. For a straightforward interior decorating install — paint colors, flooring, lighting, a bathroom refresh — we can guide the selections ourselves and include color consultation, which we have done on Northeast Florida homes since 2004.

For anything more ambitious we would rather bring in a designer than pretend to be one. We can recommend designers in Jacksonville and Ponte Vedra who are used to working with us, which usually shortens the whole project because the handoff is already understood.

Common Questions

Working With Designers — Common Questions

Will you build from my designer’s drawings without changing them?

Yes. That is the point. Where a drawing is unclear or a specified item is unavailable, we raise it with the designer and wait for a decision rather than substituting on our own.

Do you work directly with the designer or with me?

Either. Most often the designer owns the selections and we own the schedule and the build, with the homeowner copied on both. We are comfortable being invoiced through a designer or contracting directly.

Can you receive and store deliveries?

Yes. We accept, inspect and inventory shipments against packing lists, note damage immediately, and store items on site or off site until install week.

Can the install happen before we move in?

That is the ideal case. Construction, finishes and furniture install all go faster in an empty house, and the client walks into a completely finished space on move-in day.
